Today, City of Halifax staff released their report to Halifax Regional Council regarding the Urban Wilderness Park proposal from the Shaw Group and the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
The report recommends that Halifax Regional Council directs staff to proceed with negotiations to acquire the lands and return to Regional Council for consideration of the key terms and conditions for the 379 acres that address several items outlined in the full report.
The report goes to Council this coming Tuesday, September 20. This is a critical step in the process. Never has a demonstration of support been more critical to the success of this proposal.
You are welcome to come out and support the proposal in person at City Hall in Council Chambers this Tuesday, September 20. Council sits at 10 am, please view the full agenda HERE.
